Pro-Choice Washington is the only independent organization focused on political and legislative advocacy for reproductive freedom in Washington state. As such, communications and marketing are a vital part of their work. Their leadership team came to us for strategic counsel and planning to ensure their communications were as impactful as possible to help them achieve their advocacy, community engagement, and fundraising goals.

The Solution

Our work with Pro-Choice Washington began with evaluating and recommending ways to improve their online channels, including social media, email marketing, and website. From there,  our work expanded to support their overall communications and marketing, both strategy setting and tactical implementation. 

This included coordinating their ongoing efforts to raise awareness of abortion issues, increase online donations, and inspire grassroots community action across the state, as well as supporting the organization to rebrand and relaunch as a fully independent, state-based organization.

The Result

After working with The Good Lemon, Pro-Choice Washington has::

  • A redesigned and rewritten Pro-Choice Washington website to reflect its new brand and narrative (created in collaboration with our friends at Rocketko!)

  • A suite of advocacy and communications materials to support the new brand and narrative, including legislative agendas, voting guides, the How to Talk About Abortion Guide, and blog content on key news and insights.

  • Raised awareness of abortion rights issues and inspired action across Washington state through fundraising and community events.
