The Two Words You Need to Consistently Post on Social

The key to posting on social media is consistency. You’ve heard us talk about why this is so important before. Remember these gems?

Consistency can look a lot of ways; you don’t have to post on your social channels every single day, but you should pick a regular schedule for posts that you can handle for the long-term.

How can you possibly create that much social media content, you ask?

It all comes down to two words: Evergreen. Content.

Evergreen content is always relevant, regardless of when it’s posted. Evergreen content works well for scheduling posts in advance, because it can fill in any gaps between campaign launches and holidays or awareness days.

Here are types of evergreen content you can create, and examples from some of our fantastic social impact clients. May these serve as inspiration!

3 Types of Evergreen Content

Team Spotlights

Introducing your team members is a great way to connect with your audience, and help them connect with you! You can share photos, quotes, bios, and role descriptions. It’s like a more fun Wizard of Oz reveal. Here is an excellent example from our client Surgo Ventures, who have been sharing a series of introductions to their team of scientists, researchers, and experts.

Inspirational Quotes

Lots of folks share quotes on their social channels, but it’s important to keep it short, sweet, and genuinely memorable.

If you include a very, very long quote, it will likely come across as spammy. It’s also helpful to cite your source in the body of the post so people know where they can find more information; plus, giving credit to the right source is right thing to do!

Our client Pro-Choice Washington elegantly honored Juneteenth observance through the empowering words of Coretta Scott King. Chef’s kiss!

Behind-the-Scenes Footage

Everyone likes the feeling of getting exclusive access to something. Behind-the-scenes footage allows your audience to be in the room where it happens… from the comfort of their own home. It helps them understand what you do and value.

We help our client EDF Renewables share beautiful photos and videos taken by their team members working on project sites all over North America. This one really makes you feel like you’re on top of a wind turbine!

Planning and creating evergreen content will take your editorial calendar from bare-bones to bursting! And you? You’ll be able to spend more time strategizing your next game-changing idea!. We’d say that’s a win-win.
