Urbanful: social media, Digital Strategy and graphic Design
Building an online storefront for talented local artisans through testing and learning
Urbanful was a start-up project of Smart Growth America and consisted of an online magazine and e-commerce marketplace celebrating city life and small businesses based in cities across the country. Proceeds from all sales went directly to benefit Smart Growth America’s work to make cities better places to live.
Urbanful needed to build their social media marketing strategy and brand, as well as use targeted advertising campaigns to direct the right kind of traffic to the website within the first year.
The Good Lemon worked to build Urbanful’s brand and social media from the ground up. We developed sample messaging and used Google Advertising and social media advertising campaigns to test and optimize results. We put together core branding elements to express Urbanful’s mission as a socially-conscious company, as well as communicate its offering to our ideal potential customers.

We disseminated these messages to thousands of followers built across several channels, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest.
We also consistently established Facebook and Twitter as two of the top sources of traffic for Urbanful.
The Good Lemon team drove over three million pageviews in the first year, with monthly unique visitors totaling between 45,000 and 60,000.
